MALAYSIA

Malaysia is like two countries in one, cleaved in half by the South China Sea. On the one hand, the exotic land, a country of adventures and feverish dreams, populated by pirates, jungle moist, colonial palaces and sultans. The other, a dynamic and modern living between highways, skyscrapers, oil industries and mega-projects…

What we least expected, perhaps, is this Malaysia enriched by ethnic diversity, where Muslim Malays form only a small majority, alongside many Chinese, Indians and Tamils. A true melting pot, reflecting the diverse origins of the settlers who came from the East.
