The Harmandir Sahib, also known as Golden Temple, is the most sacred place for Sikhs, located in the heart of Amritsar, Punjab. Placed in the middle of a huge lake, accessible by a bridge crowded with pilgrims, worshipping its sanctuary day and night long, its golden walls are reflected in the water, illuminated by the rays of sunlight changing intensity during the day. It is impossible to give an idea of how many people are in the confines of this temple, but they must be thousands. Pilgrims come here from all over the world, as the Sikh diaspora is very important.

The Golden Temple is probably one of the most amazing places you can find in India. Its beauty, its majesty, its energy and the intense spirituality that you can breathe here are unforgettable. There is also this feeling of sincere welcome when you come here, the grace and charisma of the Sikhs. There are some places on Earth that you actually leave with regrets. The Golden Temple of Amritsar is one of them.
